What is Boost?
Boost is an incentive system in which EKL block rewards increase according to user actions.
In Eclipse, users can perform three main actions: 1) Supply liquidity, 2) LP token staking, and 3) EKL lockup. Depending on the user's LP token staking and the amount of vEKL obtained from the locked-up EKL, the reward will increase up to 1.5 times. The table described according to the actions in the protocol is as follows.
In the future, Eclipse will expand the Boost effect up to 2.5 times. This will expand the rewards of the vEKL holder and will be one of ways to relieve the supply pressure of the EKL.
How do I use it?
How to win Max Boost
If users wants to receive the maximum boost, they must have a certain amount of vEKL in addition to performing all three actions. At this time, the reason why the amount of vEKL affects the boost applied by multiplier is related to the boost calculation formula below.
According to the above formula, users can receive the maximum Boost if their share of vEKL in the protocol is greater than their share of Farm that is harvesting interest. Because of this, the higher the amount of vEKL users holds, the higher the chance of receiving more EKL rewards. Thus, the more users keep EKL in the vault and contribute to the protocol, the more they win greater incentives.
Investors can take advantage of this boost effect to calculate a higher return and invest. Eclipse provides the Boost calculator function to help with this. This feature allows users to know how many Boost multipliers they will receive and how much vEKL they need to apply the maximum Boost.

Boost Application Criteria and Method
Boost is calculated and applied in batches during the morning of March 14 (Mon), and it is updated whenever additional actions are taken on the user. Here are the actions that will result in future Boost calculations being applied:
Provide liquidity
Collect liquidity
Withdrawl EKL
Store EKL in a safe
For example, when the user is receiving the 1.2x Boost effect at the time of the first application, 1) Provide additional liquidity, 2) Stake the received LP token, and 3) Store EKL in a safe, Boost is applied by recalculating the changed values at points 1 and 3. Therefore, users do not need to take any action such as pressing a button or applying to update the changed contents with Boost.
